crossing my fingers

I'm going to be waking up early and my dad's going to drive me to JFK in NYC to catch my 2 PM flight. We're leaving at 6:15 AM sharp which means I should probably go to bed now.

Right now, I'm ridiculously excited and nervous! It's my first time flying alone, so this should be interesting (and by interesting, I mean a little terrifying). I'm being super paranoid and am determined not to listen to any songs that reference planes crashing. I'm looking at you, B.o.B.

Aside from my mild fear of flying (or at least, strong distaste - ugh, I love traveling but I hate the traveling process) my worst fear is that my iPod or laptop battery will die during my 16 hour flight (no layovers) and there will be no power outlets.

Or that I'll somehow get delayed while checking out of the Hong Kong International Airport. Because obviously, I should be a great concern for national security with my complete lack of sense of direction and my utter inability to walk without tripping over absolutely nothing. Nevertheless, I plan on wearing the cutesiest, most Blair Waldorf-ian headband I own as insurance to my already harmless little 20 year old Asian girl image.

I hope your flight went well and that you didn't get stopped at security. Good luck settling in! I miss you and wish you were somehow near me so you could tell me to stop being stupid and anxious about my trip next week. I look forward to reading all about your HK adventures!

MISS YOU TONS! YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME! <3

Hopefully I'll get internet soon so we can Skype! :) And oh man, I totally panicked when I on the plane going "EVERYONE'S GOING TO HATE ME, WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA". It's totally normal, love.

<3 I miss you Miss Emily!
